July 16, 2016 - Kyle Muller struck out 10 batters over seven innings, and Matt Ricci and Jake Muller had two RBIs apiece as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Vailsburg Post 395, 5-0, in the opening game of the District 2 Tournament at Teener Field in Union.
Hamilton scored its first run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Kenny Zahn. Ricci added in the fifth and seventh innings, while Jake Muller drove in runs with a sacrifice fly in the sixth and a single in the eighth.
Kyle Muller did not allow a hit until the fourth inning, and ended his day by pitching out of a two-on, no-out jam in the seventh by striking out two batters and inducing an inning-ending flyout. Nick Maglione pitched the final two innings.
July 13, 2016 - Hamilton Post 31 (21-3 MCALL, 23-5 overall) lost its final regular-season game, 3-1, to Bordentown Post 26 at Rich Giallella Field.
Post 31 opens district play at Teener Field in Union on Saturday at 1 p.m. against Vailsburg Post 395.
July 12, 2016 - Jake Beyer had three hits, an RBI, and two stolen bases to lead Hamilton Post 31 (21-2 MCALL, 23-4 overall) to a 6-1 victory over Hightstown Post 148 at Mercer County Park.
Sean O'Boyle worked seven strong innings, allowing just three hits, to improve his record to 5-0.
Brady Plunkett had a single and two RBIs for Post 31.
July 11, 2016 - Maguire Balke threw a complete-game four-hitter as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Princeton Post 218, 5-0, at Rich Giallella Field, clinching Post 31's 30th MCALL pennant.
Balke struck out six and did not allow a walk in improving his record to 2-0.
Kenny Zahn drove in two runs as Hamilton improved to 20-2 in the MCALL and 22-4 overall.
July 10, 2016 - Kenny Zahn's two-out single in the top of the sixth inning drove in the game's only run as Hamilton Post 31 (19-2 MCALL, 21-4 overall) inched closer to the MCALL pennant with a 1-0 victory over North Hamilton at Rich Giallella Field.
After Matt Ricci doubled with two outs in the sixth, Zahn singled to center to plate pinch-runner Cameron Bruschini. Kyle Muller earned the win with 5.2 innings of one-hit ball, while Sean O'Boyle got the final four outs to record the save.
Hamilton can clinch the 30th MCALL championship in program history with a win over Princeton Post 218.
July 9, 2016 - Jake Muller drove in four runs and Anthony Francioso scored three runs as Hamilton Post 31 (18-2 MCALL, 20-4 overall) defeated Trenton Post 93, 17-1, at Rich Giallella Field.
Nick Maglione worked five innings, allowing just one unearned run, to post his second win of the season.
In ceremonies prior to the start of the game, the 1966 Hamilton Post 31 team was honored on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of becoming the program's first state champion.
July 7, 2016 - Anthony Francioso took a no-hitter into the seventh inning as Hamilton Post 31 defeated West Windsor-Plainsboro, 4-3, at Rich Giallella Field.
Shoddy defense victimized Francioso as two of his three runs allowed were unearned. Francioso improved to 5-0, while Nick Maglione earned his third save. Ryan Mostrangeli had two hits and Kenny Zahn drove in two runs for Post 31.
Hamilton improved to 17-2 in the MCALL and 19-4 overall.
July 6, 2016 - Matt Ricci had two hits and an RBI and Kenny Zahn added three hits and two RBIs as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Lawrence Post 414, 12-1, at Eggerts Crossing Field.
Zahn and Jake Beyer drove in runs in the first inning to give Hamilton an early lead, then Ricci and Zahn added RBIs in a five-run third inning that broke the game open. Alex Coleman slashed a two-run single in the fifth inning.
Sean O'Boyle went six innings to pick up his fourth win of the season.

Chris Harkness had two RBIs and two stolen bases, while Kenny Zahn scored twice and drove in a run. Shane Keledy also had two runs scored for Post 31.
Sean O'Boyle and Anthony Francioso split the mound duties, with O'Boyle picking up his fourth win and Francioso earning his first save.

June 29, 2016 - Ryan Mostrangeli threw out the potential tying run at home plate with two outs in the top of the seventh inning to preserve Hamilton Post 31's 5-4 victory over Hopewell Post 339 at Rich Giallella Field.
Post 31 overcame a 3-0 deficit by scoring two runs in the fourth inning, one of which scored on a Chris Harkness triple, and three runs in the fifth, two of which scored on RBIs by Maguire Balke and CJ Pittaro.
Anthony Francioso pitched 6.2 innings to post his fourth win in four decisions.
June 28, 2016 - Jake Beyer's one-out single in the top of the 10th inning scored Ryan Mostrangeli with what proved to be the winning run as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Broad St. Park Post 313, 2-1, at Hamilton High.
Mostrangeli led off the top of the 10th win a double to deep center field and was sacrificed to third by Shane Keledy. Beyer then grounded a single through the right side to plate Mostrangeli.
Sean O'Boyle pitched the final 4.2 innings, working out of two runner-on-third-with-less-than-two-out jams in the seventh and ninth innings. Nick Maglione pitched shutout ball for 5.1 innings before giving way to O'Boyle, who earned his fourth win of the season.
June 27, 2016 - Maguire Balke threw a complete-game two-hitter as Hamilton Post 31 defeated South Brunswick Post 401, 8-1, at Crossroads South Middle School Field.
Balke, making his first career start in his second season with the team, allowed just a leadoff single in the fourth and a two-out double in the seventh. He struck out four and didn't walk a batter.
Ryan Mostrangeli went 5-for-5 with three runs scored and Kenny Zahn had four RBIs for Hamilton.
June 26, 2016 - Cameron Bruschini had a double and three RBIs as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Ewing Post 314, 11-1, at Moody Park.
Bruschini drove in a run as part of a four-run second inning for Hamilton, then doubled in two runs in a seven-run fifth as Post 31 put the game away. Ryan Mostrangeli had two hits and two RBIs.
David Stec went the distance, retiring the last eight batters he faced, to improve to 2-1.

With two outs and nobody on in the top of the ninth, Zahn singled to center and advanced to second when Chris Harkness was hit by a pitch, setting the stage for Francioso's game-winner.

June 23, 2016 - Matt Ricci had two hits and two RBIs to back the one-hit pitching of Kyle Muller as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Hightstown Post 148, 3-0, at Rich Giallella Field.
Ricci's third-inning double scored Jake Beyer, who had also doubled, and his single in the fifth plated Ryan Mostrangeli, who doubled to lead off the inning. Kenny Zahn scored Hamilton's first run of the game in the second inning, coming in on a wild pitch.
Muller, who pitched his third complete game of the season in running his record to 3-0, allowed only a leadoff single in the sixth inning. He struck out four.

June 20, 2016 - Sean O'Boyle struck out eight batters in his second complete game of the season as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Trenton Post 93, 3-1, at Wetzel Field.
Kenny Zahn drove in the game's first run with a first-inning single, and Jake Beyer and Matt Ricci had RBIs as Hamilton added two runs in the third.
O'Boyle improved to 3-0.
June 19, 2016 - Matt Ricci's two-out RBI double in the seventh inning led Hamilton Post 31 to a 4-2 victory over West Windsor-Plainsboro at West Plainsboro-South High School.
With two outs and nobody on in a 2-2 game in the top of the seventh, Jake Beyer's single was followed by Ricci's blast to deep center. Pinch-hitter David Stec then singled to score Ricci with an insurance run.
Anthony Francioso pitched six innings in earning his second win of the season. Nick Maglione pitched a 1-2-3 seventh to pick up his second save.
June 16, 2016 - Kyle Muller struck out eight batters in a complete-game effort and CJ Pittaro had two hits as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Lawrence Post 414, 3-2, at Rich Giallella Field.
Muller allowed only four hits in pitching his second complete game of the season. Pittaro's sixth-inning, two-out single tied the game, and he came around to score the eventual winning run when Steven Moticha drew a bases-loaded walk.
Catcher Kenny Zahn was the defensive star of the game, throwing out three would-be base-stealers.
June 13, 2016 - Cameron Bruschini and Matt Ricci drove in two runs apiece as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Ewing Post 314, 6-3, at Rich Giallella Field.

June 11, 2016 - Anthony Francioso pitched into the sixth inning as Hamilton Post 31 defeated Hopewell Post 339, 8-6, at Hopewell Valley High School.
Francioso was victimized by early defensive struggles, allowing three runs in the first two innings, before settling down. Francioso retired 10 out of 12 batters at one point as the Post 31 bats got going and gained control of the game. Shane Keledy had two hits and two RBIs, while CJ Pittaro added three hits and an RBI.
Nick Maglione recorded the final four outs to gain his first save of the season.

Jake Muller drove in what proved to be the winning run with a two-out single in the fifth inning, and Matt Ricci plated an insurance run with a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Jake Beyer drove in Post 31's first run with a first-inning single.
June 8, 2016 - Hamilton Post 31 opened its season with a 6-0 victory over South Brunswick Post 401 at Rich Giallella Field.
Sean O'Boyle went the distance for Post 31, allowing five hits and striking out seven. The Hamilton defense turned two double plays, including an inning-ender started by third baseman Matt Ricci in the fourth to rescue O'Boyle from a bases-loaded jam.
Shane Keledy led the offense with three hits and an RBI. Ryan Mostrangeli, Jake Beyer, Jake Muller, and Ricci also drove in runs.
